New Direct flight from Kruger to Vic Falls makes safaris easy

South African Airways', Airlink, will begin flight service from Nelspruit Kruger, South Africa to Livingstone, Zambia on August 17, 2009. The flight service will connect two of the most sought-after destinations in Southern Africa: Kruger National Park and the Victoria Falls.

The flight will depart Nelspruit on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 11:35am and arrive in Livingstone at 1:50pm. The return flight will run the same days departing Livingstone at 2:20pm and arrive in Nelspruit at 4:45pm. Currently travelers must route through Johannesburg and often overnight before continuing on to Zambia. The new flight routing saves travelers time and money. Safari-goers will be able to enjoy a morning game drive before boarding their flight to Livingstone where they will arrive in time for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Nelspruit is the gateway to Kruger National Park and many of the adjacent private game reserves. Kruger National Park is the size of the country of Israel and is home to some of the best game viewing in Africa. Livingstone, Zambia is just moments from the roaring Victoria Falls and is a center for adventure activities from bungee jumping, white water rafting, elephant back safaris, boat cruises on the Zambezi River and more.
